The Retreat at San Marco is a three-story elevated coastal home with a metal roof and vertical board siding painted a fun seafoam green. The main facade carries a distinctive triple arched window wall that fills the living space with marsh light, and the front — white railings, double-wide staircase entry — is where most stays seem to begin and end each day.
The house sits in Spanish Hammock, a quiet residential pocket on the north end of Tybee Island. Mature live oaks draped in Spanish moss surround the property, and Lazaretto Creek and the tidal marsh are a few steps away. It is a private, residential rhythm — closer to a well-kept family home than a rental on a tourist strip.
Between the marsh, the dock, the game room, and a porch on both ends of the house, the setting does most of the work — and the porch has strong opinions about how you should spend your morning.

Living room
A large room built around a four-seat conversation area by the bay windows, plus a cozy nook with a comfortable couch and TV.
Second living room
Just off the kitchen: a sofa and two leather chairs, with a TV.
Kitchen & dining
Fully stocked for a real meal — dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, fridge — plus a coffee bar with a Nespresso machine (pods, creamer, and sugar included). The dining table seats 8: glass top with wood and rattan legs and chairs.
Primary suite
King bed, dresser, and a large TV. The en suite has a soaking tub overlooking the dock and a double vanity, with a window bench and plenty of natural light.
Bunk room
Two sets of bunk beds, sleeping four, with a connecting door through to the primary suite.
Twin & trundle room
Two twin beds, each with a trundle underneath, sleeping four. A small dresser, a TV, and a window bench — full of character.

A 75" TV, a Texas Hold'em poker table, a dartboard, cornhole boards, a foosball table, an Xbox One, a PS4, and a Wii U with plenty of games, plus a deep stack of card and board games. DVDs and Blu-rays are provided. The pull-out sofa here handles overflow sleeping.
Outdoor spaces & dock access
A private dock on the marsh, stocked with 3 kayaks (tandem, fishing, and single), plus room to park a boat on the property. The dock is tide-dependent — it goes dry at low tide, so plan boat days around the tide chart. A public boat ramp on Lazaretto Creek, about two miles away, is the spot to launch.
