A pet-friendly Tybee Island rental for you and your dog

Dogs are welcome with advance approval — request before you book, and let us know how many, plus each dog's breed and weight. Limit two dogs, under 50 lbs each, with a $100 fee per dog. We do not accept cats. You're responsible for any damage a dog causes, and we reserve the right to decline a dog that isn't a good fit.

Because we approve dogs individually, the first step is a message to us before you reserve. Tell us how many dogs are coming and give us each dog's breed and weight, and we will reply directly. You can reach us from the contact page, and it is worth doing this early if your dates are close.

The fee is $100 per dog, and the limit is two dogs of under 50 lbs each. Cats are not accepted.

Spanish Hammock is a residential pocket, so the streets are quiet, and the live oaks give shade on a warm afternoon. The backyard has a picnic area at the edge of the marsh, along with a fire pit, and the back porch is where dinner happens most nights.

The Crab Shack is 0.8 miles away, about a twenty-minute walk, and the beach and lighthouse are a short drive.

Stays here run 3 nights at minimum, with check-in at 4pm and checkout at 10am, so a dog-friendly weekend is easily a long one. Linens and towels are provided and the kitchen is stocked, which keeps the packing list short for everyone, four-legged or not.

The driveway holds five or six cars, so a caravan of friends and their dogs will not spill onto the street. If your plans include a boat day or a paddle, it is worth reading our notes on the dock first, because the tide decides more of the schedule than you would expect. And if you are unsure whether your dog is a match for the house, ask before you book. A quick message costs nothing, and it is much easier than changing plans later.

The house is elevated and reaches the porch by two sets of stairs, which is worth knowing if your dog is small or older. The dock is tide-dependent and goes dry at low tide, and the marsh edge has oyster shell, which is why we suggest water shoes for people and a little care around the creek.
